On Thursday, August 22, 2024, TRT CLE will sponsor a Live Zoom Telecast of Continuing Legal Education Credit for attorneys. Pete Wright, Esq. will present Special Education and Juvenile Justice. The program is open to the public.
The focus is on children with disabilities who are involved in the juvenile justice system. Pete worked in Virginia’s juvenile justice system for 10 years before law school. He worked as a houseparent in a juvenile training school. Later, Pete worked as a juvenile probation officer in Richmond, VA. His caseload included children who had committed major felonies. As an attorney, Pete represented children with disabilities in juvenile court and in special education due process hearings.
Pete presented a program for TRT CLE about “Children with Disabilities and Special Education Law” in January 2024. This program is available as a 24/7 download.
