Follow this blog post for updates to the Memrise apps. We’ll always update this page first. Last updated: 27th June2025

My Lessons: What is it, and why are we building it?

My Lessons is still in development, but we’re designing it to guide your learning journey after you’ve chosen a Wordlist, so that you’re not just memorising words, but learning to use them.

In the video, Marcin and Sandra talk through:

  • Why My Lessons is needed

  • What kinds of learning experiences it will bring together

  • And how it’s being designed to help you understand, hear, and say the words you’re learning

They also talk about what we’re keeping from the current app, what’s new, and how the whole system will adapt to your skill level and goals.

“The goal isn’t just to recognise a word. It’s to say it—confidently, in a conversation.”

Why We’re Sharing This Now

This isn’t a demo. It’s a conversation about where we’re headed, and why.

You’ll hear how we’re thinking about motivation, skill progression, and how learners can drill deeper into things like pronunciation or grammar when they want to.

And as always, we’d love your feedback. What would help you speak with more confidence?

Drop your thoughts in the blog comments – we’re listening.
