Are teachers wasting precious hours managing behaviour that could be streamlined using AI tools?
Behavioural incidents often peak in winter months, when student engagement dips and routines break down. AI-generated routines and communication scripts can help teachers respond more quickly and with greater confidence.
Using AI behaviour management tools in schools
Teachers are increasingly asking: “What AI tools are available to manage classroom behaviour efficiently?”
I am delighted to share this recent livestream featuring the team from The National College, prompts and tools already live in schools, to explore how teachers can use AI for behaviour management.
Teacher and Leader AI now offers more than 50 tools designed specifically for schools, helping teachers reduce time spent on repetitive behaviour tasks.
This livestream demonstrates how teachers can input a simple scenario (e.g. “Year 9 PE class with missing kit” or “Post-16 English resit disengagement”) and instantly receive structured, evidence-informed behaviour routines, letters or teaching suggestions. Teachers can also benefit from editable, downloadable documents preformatted with their school branding.

Getting started
Teacher and Leader AI is a suite of education-specific artificial intelligence tools created by The National College. The platform offers over 50 guided tools including classroom routine builders, SEND support advisors, parental communication generators, model text creators and quiz builders. Each tool is designed to help teachers manage common behaviour challenges with efficiency.
The tools are fully aligned with Department for Education guidance and Ofsted expectations, offering teachers a compliant and secure way to improve behaviour management. The National College holds ISO 42001 accreditation, ensuring ethical and safe use of AI technologies.
Behaviour remains a major workload pressure for teachers, particularly in KS3 and post-16 settings. Schools also benefit from improved consistency when all staff use similar scripts, routines and expectations, students experience clearer boundaries and more predictable responses. Teacher and Leader AI allows teachers to:
- Create classroom routines: Generate morning routines, transition routines or end-of-day resets tailored to KS3, SEND needs or subject-specific challenges.
- Draft parental communication: AI writes professional emails or letters addressing issues such as calling out, lateness, dangerous behaviour or vaping.
- Support SEND behaviour planning: Teachers can produce movement-break schedules, sensory profiles or personalised strategies for dysregulation.
- Model text creation: AI helps students write restorative apology letters after behavioural incidents, supporting reflection and reparation.
- Generate quizzes: Teachers can create retrieval quizzes aligned to GCSE specifications to improve engagement during difficult slots such as Friday afternoons.

All outputs can be refined, shortened, translated or tailored to tone — and include the option to upload school logos to maintain consistency. Rather than bolt on another generic AI tool, teachers should explore generative AI; start small with one prompt, then build confidence over time. It’s all part of the platform they already know.
It’s live now and free for National College members to access.
