IELTS Writing Test – General Training
Writing task 1 (a letter)
You recently visited a beach in your local area and were concerned by the large amount of rubbish you saw there. Write a letter to the local council. In your letter:
– describe the situation you observed
– explain the possible effects of this problem
– suggest what actions the council could take to address it.
Write at least 150 words. You do NOT need to write any addresses.
Writing task 2 (an essay)
Many people believe that interviews are the most effective way to select suitable job candidates. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
