IELTS Writing Test – General Training
Writing task 1 (a letter)
You are planning to organise an activity for a charity organisation and would like your friend to join you. Write a letter to your friend. In your letter:
– explain what the activity is
– tell your friend why you are organising it
– invite your friend to take part with you.
Write at least 150 words. You do NOT need to write any addresses.
Writing task 2 (an essay)
Some people believe that young children should attend nursery school before starting primary school. Others think that it is better for them to stay at home with their families.
Discuss both views and give your own opinion.
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
