Located in the southeast of Germany, bordering both the Czech Republic and Austria, Bavaria is Germany’s largest state and an unbeatable location for fall foliage. Bavaria is a famous cultural hotspot, featuring iconic castles like Neuschwanstein, a deep-rooted cultural heritage including Oktoberfest, folk clothing like Lederhosen and Drindl, and the delicious Bavarian pretzel.
While the state may be best known for its cultural traditions, it’s also renowned for stunning fall foliage. Bavaria is a nature-lover’s paradise, and during autumn, it comes alive with bursts of bright orange, red, and yellow. Salzburg: Austrian Alps

Located about 3 hours from Paris, the Loire Valley is a superb place for a day trip or weekend excursion during your study abroad program or international internship in France’s capital. While you’re there, you can visit the vineyards, finding beauty in both taste and sight, and see the hundreds of castles that give this region its name, the “Valley of Kings.”
Prague, Czech Republic
