1. Write the following in numerals using commas:

(i) Three lakh nine hundred four.

(ii) Eight lakh three thousand four.

(iii) Nine lakh ninety-nine thousand nine hundred ninety-nine.

(iv) Eight lakh forty-six thousand two hundred fifty-seven.

2. Write in figures:

(i) Two lakh nineteen thousand three hundred sixty-five

(ii) Three lakh forty-six thousand eight hundred ninety-five

(iii) Seven lakh eighty-seven thousand eight hundred seventy-eight

(iv) Two lakh fifty-eight thousand two hundred seventy

(v) Sixty-five thousand thirty-six

(vi) Eight lakh thirty thousand twenty-five.

3. Write in the expanded form:

(i) 80,543

(ii) 9,08,623

4. Write the numbers which correspond to:

(i) 8 x 1000 + 4 x 100+3×1

(ii) 8 × 100000 + 9 x 1000 + 5 × 10 + 8 x 1.

5. What is the predecessor of the largest six-digit number?

6. What is the sum of the place values of 8(s) in the number 858398?

7. Find the difference between the place values of 6 and 5 in 623541.

8. How many 5-digit numbers are there in all?

9. Write True or False:

(i) The smallest number formed by using the digits 6, 0, 9 is 069.

(ii) 860 is the greatest number formed by using the digits 6, 0, 8.

(iii) The greatest 4-digit number is 1000.
